D&W carries out voluntary works at primary school

Danaher & Walsh has carried out playground improvement works at Braunstone Frith Primary School, Leicester, as part of a joint social value initiative with Balfour Beatty.

Danaher & Walsh is currently working with Balfour Beatty on the Putney Road West highway improvements project in Leicester.

The site team is working collaboratively to deliver a package of social value initiatives for the local community.

The voluntary works carried out at Braunstone Frith Primary School include D&W's construction of a new wheelchair-accessible ramp into the school from the playground.

A large planter was installed, with a rubber chipping surround to provide a soft surface for children tending to plants. Benches were also installed and landscaping works carried out to provide a fresh, new playground environment.

The plant required for the construction was donated by Flannery Plant Hire.

The planter and benches were donated by Balfour Beatty, as well as scooters and safety equipment for the school.
