David Lavery joins board of directors

David Lavery has joined the board of Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering as Operations Director.

Australian native David previously worked for Danaher & Walsh in site management roles before returning to Australia in 2010, where he worked for infrastructure giants Fulton Hogan and Brierty on an impressive range of major civil engineering projects.

He re-joined D&W after a spell with Tarmac - where he was responsible for the delivery of a major public sector framework - to lead operational delivery within Civil Engineering, with specific focus on efficiency, innovation and customer relationships.

Speaking about his recent appointment to the board of directors, David commented: "Since returning to Danaher & Walsh in 2019, it’s been a challenging few years, with COVID and other factors affecting the way we do business, but I am proud of how we as a company have risen to the challenges, implemented changes and adopted new approaches.

"I’m looking forward to the future, working with the board and the wider team to achieve our targets and objectives, as we continue to grow the business within our traditional operating areas and expansion into East Anglia.

"On a personal level, it’s an honour and privilege to be taking over the Operations Director role for a company that I first joined as a Sub-Agent back in 2008, and I am looking forward to the journey ahead."

Managing Director Dan Danaher added: "I'm delighted to welcome David to the board of directors.

"His knowledge, experience and enthusiasm will be a great asset, and I wish him every success in his new role, driving forward our Civil Engineering business."
