Civil Engineering order book buoyed by recent contract awards
Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering has boosted its order book with a number of recent contract awards, including major highway works in Aylesbury and Northampton.
D&W is carrying out highway works relating to a new Sainsbury's supermarket in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, working for main contractor RG Group. Works involve forming an entrance to the new store and associated highway improvements.
Kier Living has appointed D&W to carry out £1.5m Section 278 highway works and drainage works at their residential development in Hardingstone, Northampton.
Further projects have been secured working for Skanska on their Cambridgeshire Highways term contract.
Works have already commenced on a major bridge refurbishment project at Pondersbridge, just south of Peterborough. Another bridge refurbishment scheme is underway near Ramsey St Marys.
D&W is undertaking major Section 278 highway and public realm works on behalf of Bowmer & Kirkland, as part of the Unity Square project. The development, close to Nottingham railway station, is being constructed on behalf of HM Revenue & Customs.
Leicester City Council appointed D&W to undertake a series of enabling works at St Margaret's Bus Station. The well known terminal is earmarked for demolition later this year, and a brand new facility is to be built in its place.
Section 278 highway works are to be undertaken at new B&M Bargains and Aldi stores in Northampton, working on behalf of a new client, Quantum Construction.
Further S278 highway works contracts have also been awarded for a new Lidl store in Kidsgrove, near Stoke-on-Trent, and at a farm estate in Kirby Bedon, near Norwich.
