Charter Street Footbridge scoops CECA Project of the Year award

Danaher & Walsh's Charter Street Footbridge has won Project of the Year (£1-5m) at the CECA Midlands Awards 2018.

The impressive project - involving the design and construction of a five-metre-wide footbridge over the Grand Union Canal into Leicester's Abbey Park - was announced as winner at the CECA Midlands Annual Dinner, held in Birmingham on 11th October.

Speaking about the award, a CECA spokesperson commented: "Despite huge technical and logistical challenges the collaborative approach taken on the design and build produced an excellent outcome."

The Civil Engineering Contractors' Association (CECA) is the leading trade association for the civil engineering industry. It exists to support and champion the interests of its members.
