Key aims and challenges

The works package involved the installation of Section 104 adoptable foul and storm sewers using traditional concrete and clay construction. Roads for the estate were constructed for Section 38 local authority adoption.

The site, made up of former agricultural land, is bordered on one side by a watercourse, the Lutton Drain. Danaher & Walsh constructed a road crossing over the watercourse in order to provide highway access to the estate.

How did we do?

Owing to South East Lincolnshire’s flat, low-lying terrain and one of the wettest years on record, substantial dewatering was required during the construction phase.
