Key aims and challenges
The development of 149 quality homes is located off Bill Crane Way in Lutterworth. As part of the Section 278 agreement, the junction of Bill Crane Way and Leicester Road was improved. The kerbs were realigned to produce a significantly wider entrance. Drainage works were carried out appropriate to the new highway layout.
Two entrances with tactile crossings were constructed off Bill Crane Way to provide access to the new development.
A new 0.5km shared footway and cycleway was constructed along the alignment of Bill Crane Way, leading from Leicester Road to the main development entrance and further round toward Bitteswell Road.
Footway widening, reconstruction and resurfacing also took place along Bitteswell Road.
