Key aims and challenges
The location of the new development is a former greenfield site located off the busy A612 Colwick Loop Road.
The scope of works included construction of a brand new traffic-signalised junction on the A612, forming an entrance into the new development.
The road was widened on the approaches to the junction to form turning lanes. As part of the works, a roadside drainage ditch was realigned.
Works were carried out in phases, using two traffic lights to maintain traffic flow along the A612 whilst allowing the works progress safely.
