Key aims and challenges
A new exit was constructed from an existing roundabout on Tollgate Way to provide access to the site, which was formerly playing fields.
The works also involved a slight widening of Tollgate Way, minor highway realignments and resurfacing of the roundabout. The first section of the new access road was also constructed for Section 38 local authority adoption. A crossing was installed over the new access road for a combined cycle and footway.
How did we do?
In order to minimise disruption whilst progressing the project, some critical phases of the works took place out-of-hours and under a partial road closure.
