Key aims and challenges
Supermarket chain Aldi is undergoing rapid expansion in the UK, having gained significant market share.
Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering is assisting with the ambitious growth of their estates portfolio by delivering the highway works necessary to enable the opening of new stores.
In most cases, we have worked directly for the client, but we have also worked for partner developers or as a subcontractor to main contractors on occasion.
The Section 278 works involve working closely with a wide range of local highways authorities.
The schemes vary in scope, depending on the requirements of each individual project. These range from the formation of a simple store entrance to major highway improvements and the construction of new Section 38 adoptable highways.
The projects involve close liaison with stakeholders and the on-site construction teams. We work to strict deadlines to ensure the timely opening of the new stores.
