Key aims and challenges
Parkway was the main contractor for the construction of a new 75,000 sq. ft distribution warehouse at Buccleuch Properties’ Kettering Business Park, for automotive interior specialists IM Kelly.
The highway works comprised widening the A43 on the approach to the Rockingham Road roundabout, adjacent to the business park.
This required excavating the embankment adjacent to the carriageway, moving the kerb line and gullies and full highway construction.
The widened section was surfaced, lined and high-friction surfacing was installed.
The works took place on the live highway, with traffic management deployed to ensure the safe progression of the works whilst minimizing disruption on this busy route.
