In 2016, Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering was appointed to the £750m Eastern Highways Framework 2.

Key aims and challenges

The four year framework covers a range of highway works for 11 local authorities in the East of England. D&W has been appointed, along with six other contractors, to Lot 1, covering works up to £1.5m in project value.

Works packages include highway improvements, infrastructure works, bridgeworks, subways, culverts, retaining walls, public realm works, drainage improvements, canal works and more.

Speaking about the award, Operations Director Russell Fitzjohn said: "We very pleased to have been appointed to this high profile framework.

"The whole premise of the contract is to drive efficiency savings for the local authorities involved, using innovation and collaboration. We look forward to working closely with the alliance members to help deliver best value solutions."
