Key aims and challenges

Danaher & Walsh has recently signed a contract with Anglian Water, the largest water and wastewater service in England and Wales by geographic area, to become an alliance partner for their AMP6 Integrated Maintenance & Repair (Water Recycling) programme.

Over 200 organisations registered an interest in the various contracts available for Anglian Water’s AMP6 programme; Danaher & Walsh is one of the four selected contractors  working on the Integrated Maintenance and Repair (Water Recycling) alliance.

This integrated management contract, which will potentially run for 15 years (subject to five-yearly reviews), has a specific focus on collaborative working, efficiency and a drive for innovation.

Some of the work takes place on a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year emergency call-out basis. Some jobs can occur during unsociable hours and in unfavourable weather conditions.

Works locations vary from private residential properties to major highways; from busy city centres to rural settings.

Working on this contract requires a great degree of flexibility and the ability to respond to demands quickly, effectively and safely.
