Client Testimonials
Key to our philosophy is the development of long-term relationships and repeat business from satisfied clients. But don't just take our word for it, hear what some of our clients have to say.
Sir Peter Soulsby, City Mayor, Leicester City CouncilDanaher & Walsh and their team worked tirelessly to see this fantastic project through from inception to completion. The scheme presented numerous technical challenges, but their ‘can-do’ attitude and undoubted knowledge and experience ensured that the end-product is completely fit-for-purpose. The site was managed very well in Leicester’s flagship public park and the impact of the works on the surrounding environment was minimal.
By opening up Abbey Park to the Belgrave Gate area of the city centre, this bridge will benefit the people of Leicester for many years to come

Gavin Colton, Senior Project Manager, Kier ConstructionNow we have achieved practical completion for the first phase of the Everards Brewery project, I just wanted to extend my thanks to all of you for helping to make that happen. It was always viewed as a high risk project from all those involved both directly and indirectly, so it was very pleasing to complete the phase on time and with no accidents or injuries.
The attitude towards a positive SHE environment was great to see and was largely responsible for the accident free result.
Equally impressive was the fact that we had no negative publicity throughout the whole 31 weeks on site, as this was always a major concern. We are soon to start the next phase and build upon the impressive start to the project.

Rod Kelly, Team Manager - Highway Projects Team 1, Norfolk County CouncilSince Danaher & Walsh were appointed as the successful contractor for the A148 Felbrigg Roundabout scheme, the relationship that has been built between the two parties has been one that I would quantify as strong, collaborative and effective. Having been aware of Danaher & Walsh through representations at the Eastern Highway Alliance Framework meetings, they were not completely new to Norfolk County Council, but they were not a contractor who had worked for the authority on our network. However, now having had the opportunity to work with them the outcomes have been positive and any previous doubts based upon unfamiliarity dispelled.
As a delivery unit, they have exhibited an open, honest and collaborative approach. This has been demonstrated through good communication with differing contacts within the authority, as well as the wider stakeholder group. Contractual and financial discussions have also been proactive and concise. Danaher & Walsh provided an optimistic delivery programme for the works which was guided by constrained network management issues on a highly tourist-sensitive route, but through effective and efficient working practices managed to complete the works ahead of schedule, minimising the impact on our highway network.
As a consequence of the above, I would have no hesitation in recommending Danaher & Walsh, and also look forward to working together again.

Andrew L. Smith, Director of Planning, Transportation and Economic Development, Leicester City CouncilThe scheme looks excellent and I am very pleased with the final results. The project has transformed the area and is a major enhancement of the Belgrave Road environment.
This has not been an easy journey for the team and I just wanted to thank everyone enormously for the huge efforts and often creative approaches to bring the project in by today in readiness for the events to bury a king!

Tim Ward, Operations Director, EverardsThis was a very good contract, delivered within programme and budget. Subcontract relationships, such as with Danaher & Walsh were highly beneficial as they demonstrated expertise at every stage

Richard Peck, Director, Norder Design AssociatesThis was a particularly challenging project from a PR perspective, already having received adverse press comment before the project started. There was no adverse comment received during the project, which is an excellent achievement with such a sensitive project.

Neil Loxton, Project Manager, Concept (Commercial) Project Management LtdI would like to thank Danaher & Walsh for their efforts on the De Montfort University Landscape Adoption Works project and the professionalism they demonstrated whilst undertaking the works within a pedestrian and highway environment. It was commented to me on a couple of occasions that it was pleasing to see the workforce undertaking the works with the correct PPE, areas cordoned off and effective signage.
I would also like to thank Danaher & Walsh’s Site Manager Owen Thorpe for his time and efforts in working with myself to ensure the works carried out were in accordance with Leicester City Council and De Montfort University's requirements.

Ben Thorpe, Assistant Project Manager, M3I just wanted to thank both of you and all the operatives on the scheme, who showed great professionalism and patience. In particular a huge thanks to Ed. Not only did he organise your works and subcontractors to suit our programme, he was very helpful in meetings we had with the client and was always willing to offer advice and time, which was very beneficial to not only myself but the scheme in general. I would gladly work with you on another project.
