HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT
The Danaher & Walsh Group Ltd. are committed to comply with current occupational safety and health legislation and with other requirements to which the Company subscribes by adopting the disciplines required by the International Standard BSOHSAS18001. It is the policy of Danaher & Walsh Group Ltd. that all business operations be executed at all times with due and proper regard for the health and safety of all employees, and other persons not in the employment of the Company, in so far as they are liable to be adversely affected by the Company’s activities.
The Company will ensure that necessary resources are available at each place of employment to ensure:-
· All projects are managed in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 irrespective of the notification threshold.
· Safe working conditions, safe plant and equipment and safe means of access and egress.
· Appropriate safety measures to ensure that the health and safety of all personnel is not at risk during the handling, storage and transport of articles and substances obtained for use at work.
· Adequate training, instruction, information and supervision, as may be necessary, to enable all personnel to avoid potential hazards and take an active interest in health and safety.
· A healthy working environment including appropriate emergency procedures and suitable first aid and welfare facilities.
It is the direct responsibility of the Company’s management at all levels to be fully conversant with the contents of this policy and to implement them.
The Health and Safety Consultant will be accountable to the General Manager, who has special responsibility for safety and through him to the Managing Director who has the ultimate responsibility. They will advise on all aspects of health and safety where this is necessary to enable management to fulfil its responsibilities.
The participation of the Company’s employees in the promotion of health and safety is essential to achieve the highest possible standards and to this end, the Company commits to involve and consult with employees through a variety of formats to ensure competency at all levels of responsibility to maintain safe working methods.
It is the duty of all employees to take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and to co-operate with the Company so far as is necessary to enable the Company to discharge its statutory responsibilities in an effective and satisfactory manner.
This policy applies to all sites, premises and operations carried out or supervised by Danaher & Walsh Group Ltd. The policy will be regularly monitored to ensure that the objectives are achieved and to provide a platform for continual improvement. It will be regularly reviewed and in all cases at least annually and if necessary, revised due to legislative, organisational or operational changes.
