Danaher & Walsh was established in February 1969 by Vera Danaher, the late Daniel Danaher, Thomas and Michael Walsh, as a contracting and plant hire business based in Leicester.

Over the next thirty five years the Company expanded to become a well respected family owned business operating throughout the Midlands.  Since the late nineteen eighties the Company has substantially developed its civil engineering division and now has an impressive client portfolio drawn from all the sectors of highways infrastructure, water services and regeneration.

Throughout this period the Company has also continued to expand and develop its plant portfolio and now claims to have one of the most modern fleets in the Midlands.

Dan Danaher, the son of Vera and the late Daniel Danaher, joined the family business in 1990 upon graduation from Nottingham Trent University.  In 1996 he became Managing Director, taking over the role vacated by his mother, who is now the Company Chairman.
