Vera Danaher

Chairman

Vera is a founding member of Danaher & Walsh, she has over 40 years experience in Civil Engineering and Plant Hire. In 1996 she vacated the role of Managing Director to become the Company Chairman.

Dan Danaher

Managing Director

Dan is the son of Vera Danaher and the late Daniel Danaher.  Dan joined the business in 1990 after graduating from Nottingham Trent University. In 1996 he became Managing Director.

Russell Fitzjohn

General Manager

Russell joined the company in 2001, With over 35 years experience in the construction industry and a style and approach to management where safety, team working, customer satisfaction and repeat business are the key drivers to success. Since joining Danaher & Walsh, Russell has overseen the growth and expansion of the business through diversification and successful delivery of many framework contracts.

Ria Green

Accounts Manager

Ria joined Danaher & Walsh in 2002 as an Accounts Office Junior dealing with invoices and payroll.  During her time at the company Ria studied with the Association of Accounting Technicians and qualified in 2006. Ria progressed to Accounts Manager in August 2006.

Ian Gilbert

Contracts Manager

Ian joined Danaher & Walsh as a site agent in 1994.  Following vocational training and management experience Ian has progressed within the Company to his current role of Contracts Manager with the overall responsibility for site operations.

Alan Piper

Managing Estimator

Alan Joined the company in 2002, Alan is responsible for managing all tenders for Danaher & Walsh. Alan has over 25 years experience in the construction industry having worked previously with other national and regional contractors. 

Sue Southam

Quensh Co-ordinator

Sue joined Danaher & Walsh in 2009. Since joining the company She has fully reviewed all working practices and procedures. Sue has a passion for health & safety and an awareness of the environment and encourages all of her colleagues to strive for continuous improvement in all areas. Sue joined Danaher & Walsh as a member of IOSH and qualified to NEBOSH standard.

Nik Davies

Sales Executive – Plant Hire

Nik joined Danaher & Walsh in 2010 as a Sales Representative for Danaher & Walsh (Plant Hire) Ltd. Nik spends most of his time out on the road either with existing clients or forming relationships with potential new clients. Nik has 15 years experience in Plant Hire.

Colin Bates

Quantity Surveyor

Colin joined Danaher & Walsh in 2009, he is responsible for all commercial aspects for the Civil Engineering department.  Colin has 7 years experience dealing with both the Public and Private sector clients.

Julie Alcock

Plant Hire Controller

Julie Joined Danaher & Walsh in 2007, Julie is responsible for controlling, monitoring and daily running of Plant Hire which includes hire negotiation, transportation & liaison with plant drivers, operatives, fitters and the maintenance team.  Julie has more than 10 years experience in Plant Hire.
